I often find that when I switch between Spaces, Finder steals focus in the new Space, even if another app had focus when I left the Space. Is there any workaround for this bug? What triggers it? Note I said "often", not "always", sometimes (rarely) this doesn't happen and I don't know why.

    I get this too.

Using new macbook air. Finding it a little bit annoying. If this didn't happen, it'd make the feature much more useful

It's an issue that all Carbon apps, which includes the Finder, have. The window management code works better for Cocoa apps than Carbon apps. 10.5.8 had some fixes to improve matters, but it's still not 100%.
