Somewhere
I’ve had a couple times where an ad comes up and takes over the whole screen claiming that I won something. This time I managed to get a screen shot of it and the URL that it sent me to: https://walmart.supermarketbooks.co...acrumors.com&uid=&flag=0&succ=1&clientid=1130

I’m hoping the admins can track it down and get rid of it

The ad doesn't appear to have anything to do with MacRumors. It's from your cellular service provider or it is spoofed to look that way, and the underlying web page is not MacRumors.

Interesting, I’ve only ever seen it pop up on macrumors. Is there some malware out there for iPhones that I’ve never heard of that would do it?

It doesn't indicate malware. It's likely just a redirect link that sends you to another site.

But if that’s not associated with an ad on Macrumors how else would that redirect link show up? I highly doubt the carrier is hijacking the cell traffic to send it to spam ads. They may not be a nationwide carrier, but they are the biggest in the state, and I’d imagine they wouldn’t want to risk making the FCC that mad. Also why else would it only show up here on macrumors?

It's quite possibly associated with some ad that might be getting served up in rotation of ads that come to MacRumors.

It's a redirect that exploits mobile devices through AdSense ads. I haven't heard from anyone that it happens on android. Apple knows it's an issue. They choose to do nothing about it.
