spam not staying deleted

I frequently check the spam folder in my Mail app on my macbook air, just to check if it caught some real mail. After going through it and transferring all the real mail to my inbox, I delete everything that's left.

The problem is, these spam messages don't stay deleted! They appear again, sometimes in as short a time as an hour!

What do I need to do in order to make sure these spam messages stay deleted?

No real solution until Apple finally rewrites from the ground up its crappy spam filter.😕
