Very cool. These guys keep adding nice features to their app. Maybe one day it will be robust enough and support other protocols (let alone Apple letting it be the default) for me to switch.
It can be the default on the Mac.

Sparrow just keeps getting better![]()
Can you even look at the mail server configuration yet to see if it's using SSL, or is it all still hidden from you and forces you to use the settings it automatically determined were best?
Sparrow uses SSL by default. So, it should work unless your mail service doesn't even have SSL as an option.
"It should work" isn't good enough for me. I want to know it's using SSL and hasn't best-guessed SSL is not available.
Sucking less.
For me it's a hipster mail client for dummies who don't know how to configure Mail properly.

I will continue using this app, until they roll out PUSH Subscription service. Then I will move on to another app for PUSH (Free PUSH).
#1 - This is about the Mac app, not the iOS app, which already has push.
#2 - The current iOS version doesn't have push, so why would you quit using it when they go to a subscription push (which you can choose to opt out of)?
