Maybe i missed this,

but what brand speakers are built into my 17" MBP? (early 2011)

does anyone know?

They're generic, non-branded. And they suck.

I agree, my g/f has a Dell Vostro from 5 years ago, and her speakers sound louder and have more bass than my 2011 15" MBP.... 😡🙄
