Hello,

I'm looking for a portable speaker dock (with an AC adapter) for the iPod Nano (5th generation). Must be able to charge the iPod.

Have Apple really swapped around the earphone port and dock connector?

regards

I was looking for a speaker doc as well, but after all my searching, I only found and tested a single iPod Dock sound system that didn't suck. Seriously. Also, it was equivalent to $450 USD on sale (originally around $600-650 or so). The company's name started with the letter 'V', it was only a 3 letter word, and yet I still can't remember it.

It was very good when compared to the other speakers I heard, but not as good as the Fostex PM PM 0.5 speakers in the same room. Also, they cost the same, and you could buy an iPod dock and set it up to the speakers very very very easily.

EDIT TO ADD: Nevermind, I found it. VAF Octavio. :D Looks quite ace, but still, if you buy good and a separate dock, you'll get better sound and still save money. :)

Abstract - thanks but that's way over the budget

jessica - thanks. I'll check those out. didn't know they did portable speakers

have Apple really swapped around the dock connector and the earbud port?
