Does someone knows if the audio speakers in the iPhone 15 Pro Max have received improvements?

In the past, every iPhone gets better speakers compared to the previous model. But none of the YouTubers tested the speakers of the iPhone Pro Max 15 yet.

i immediately noticed a difference in the speakers. i’ve been using mine since 9am est. the top speaker used to be noticeably weaker then the main bottom facing speaker, now it’s much louder and and covers a much lower frequency range than before. it’s very noticeable if you hold the phone in landscape mode. overall the stereo imaging is more precise and present, sound is more rich and dare i say almost subby (low mids 100-200hz sound so thick). it definitely feels like apple is starting to use the same volume approach as the airpod pros and pro max, their eq is adjusted based on the output volume level.

Ditto. Landscape mode while watching a random YouTube video really "shocked" me with how balanced and full it sounded from both sides of the phone.. I wouldn't say 3D or Atmos quality, but noticeably improved. Granted, I'm coming from an older 11 PM so everything seems better!

This is the one thing I’m noticing the most, the speakers seem so much louder on the 15 Max Pro when compared to my old 13 Max Pro. It’s really a significant upgrade.

Well I’m the odd one out. I thought the 13 sounded better. Watching YouTube on the 15PM I thought the audio sounded a bit tinny compared to the 13. Could also just be imagining it ha

This is consistent with my experience on the 15P compared to the 13P. I find that the 13P has a more full sound and just sounds better. Not sure why.

Driving to work I was just testing out Apple Music on the phone. My 12 PM definitely sounded better! Not a huge deal as I’ll usually listen to music through the car speakers or some other external speakers, but it’s disappointing to know.

I haven’t even watched a YouTube video yet. Hope those sound better.

Phone calls sound good though, probably a little louder and clearer than my 12 PM.

Ditto, very noticible improvement

I’m noticing crackle on the Chalet ringtone. Unless it’s supposed to have that scratchy retro phonograph sound which maybe it does. Can anyone try that ring tone and report back? If I try other ring tones I don’t hear the crackling.

Update: tried the Chalet ringtone on my iPad Pro and it crackles too. I think it’s intentional on this specific ringtone. Like a retro photograph effect. Phew.
