Speaker Quality: 13" vs 15"

How much better sounding are the speakers on the 15" when compared to the 13", or are they pretty comparable.

Looking for any opinions on it. Volume, Bass quality, overall clarity, etc.

They both sound like laptop speakers.

I can't vouch for either one, but if you're looking for quality, you need external speakers.

Both are ok for laptop speakers, but are LAPTOP speakers.

the 15 has dedicated grills im sure it is better than the 13, and i have the new 15" and feel the speakers are quite good

Yea friends 15 is soooooo much better than my 13s. To do a skype convo/watch a movie the sound needs to be at least 75%

15" do sound better but you can´t decide to buy 15" over 13" just because of speakers.. if thats your only concern you can buy some hifi speakers for the price difference between the 2 models.

That's not why I was asking. I already have a 13". In the future I might be upgrading to a 15" for CPU and screen rez reasons, and was just wondering if the built in speakers happen to be better as well.

The speakers in the 15 are better then the 13 by quite a bit but they are not nearly as good as the 17" MBP.

Both are pretty much the same, but the 15" has speaker grills on the top. This means that the sound is projected out more than the 13", which has no grills. Although I'm quite sure that the sound on the 13" MacBook Pro comes out of the keyboard, giving a competitive projection 😀
