Speakers in the sun?

I currently just bought a pair of Audioengine A2s in black and love them.

However, I noticed that one of the monitors is in the sun and is EXTREMELY hot for it, is this bad?
 
Which speaker was in the sun? If it was the left one, which contains the amp, it seems likely this was overheating.
