HI, Just installed Yosemite and trying to install my Bose speakers they are connected but can't get any audio out only my Mac speakers. As always any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.

How are the speakers connected: Bluetooth, Airplay, USB, headphone socket?

What app are you using to playback sound: iTunes, Quicktime, VLC, Garageband?

Without knowing any of the above, the only thing I can think of to check immediately is the audio settings in System Preferences. Choose output and see if your Bose speakers are there, if so choose them and you should be OK.

headphone socket in the back of my Tower Mac.

Just checked and I think I need to be a bit more percific with information it a jack. opened Sound and got a option for Sound-Effects...Output...Input.
Looking at Output and it read the following.
Internal Speakers..........................Built-in
Line Out.......................................Audio Line out port
Digital Out....................................Optical digital-out port
Display Audio.................................USB..(Which Is greyed out)
To hear sound I use my slider on computer screen.

Sorted it out. needed to click unto Audio out. Listened to some music on YouTube and pressed the button.
