My 15" new rMBP was having issues not waking from sleep, i.e., having to close and reopen the lid multiple times and even having to force restart the machine a few times.

Haven't had that problem since the update.

Please stop hijacking the thread with confusion about the link! The link is the SAME update that Late-2013 MBPs get automatically in their update app. Apple posts the updates online also.

The only point of posting the link was to reference the fact that the newest rMBPs got their OWN update, for the vague reason of "system specific enhancements."

And the point of the thread is to discuss what those enhancements would be!

So, on to discussion.....to me it only makes sense that the latest computers got a separate update due to problems with things that are different than previous rMBPs. Thus hardware, the Haswell/Iris Pro chip, the 750m chip, the new PCI SSD disks, etc.

All the other things that people are mentioning like Finder and Safari lags, slow system starts, etc, should be the same across all rMBPs, no? Those would be universal Mavericks software problems, not Late-2013-only hardware problems, no? Does anyone have ways to find out more detail, or test for such things?
