I am going to be purchasing a new 15.4" MBP in the next week, and have heard good things about Speck Cases, and the TechShell cases. I was wondering what people preferred? Did either case inadvertently scratch the mbp, or any complaints with either, etc? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is what I'm looking at:

Speck: http://www.speckproducts.com/15mac-seethru.html

TechShell: http://www.techshell.biz/15mapro12nde.html

Bump it up. I'm also interested in this...though I may skip it totally, but would still like to know.

I think those cases feel cheap/fragile and take away from your beautiful MBP! Just take care of your notebook and you won't need an ugly plastic shell covering. Seems to me that plastic coverings tend to break pretty easy. Just one man's opinion.

i have a speck see-thru for my 15' macbook pro. it rocks because it keeps the laptop perfectly safe in every situation. the mbp does NOT get scratches from the case because of little soft-plastic knobs that keep the actual plastic 1mm away from the noetebook.

i can totally recommend it to you :)

one very pleased speck customer.
