I want to get a new MBP to use with Premiere, After Effects and Blender. I am trying to decide between the 14-inch and 16-inch. It seems like the big difference is the amount of RAM that you can get with the 14-inch.

Does anyone have any thoughts on using these programs on the new 14-inch M5 Pro with 15 cores and 48GBs of ram vs. going for the 16-inch with 64GB? Is the 64GB overkill for what I will be using it for? Thank you in advance

For Blender 64GB can be the ideal buffer. Especially if you indent on running both apps. After Effects can be heavy on RAM.

As for 14 or 16. I recommend waiting until Friday-Saturday of next week. The reason why is FANs and cooling. The 14 is know to run hot and throttle. if Apple fixed the issue, then its all personal preference. Especially if your Mac is docked to a monitor.
