Speculate on actual release date of the iPad 3

With a rumored announcement on March 7th, it seems unlikely to me that it will go on sale on March 9th. So what are we thinking? Friday March 16th? 5 PM launch again, or a morning one?
 
I'd say Friday the 9th, assuming March 7 is the announcement date. Maybe even the same day. As products become more mature Apple tends to shorten the time between announcement and release. Whenever it comes out I'm happy.
 
Invites: February 29th
Announcement: March 7th, 10AM Pacific
Release: March 16th at either 9AM or 5PM

Apple's usual 3 phase launch, I personally am getting 128GB+4G in Black and am going to try to be one of the first in line to get it
 
March 16th for me too.

Last year it was the US on the 11th, then two weeks later for pretty much the rest of the world on the 25th. Hopefully they'll be able to ship to more than just the US on the first launch day.

Roughly 2 weeks after the announcement or whenever the new london store is supposed to open....
 
I'll be in NYC from 11th March and flying back to the UK on Sunday 18th of March, so I'm hoping it will be released while I'm out there.

Whether I'll be able to get one due to the usual shortages is of course another matter....
 
9:00am on March 20th (Tuesday). No real reason, but Apple has done Tuesday launches in the past, and 13 days after announcement seems somewhat reasonable.
 
Launch March 7 10AM Pacific
Availability March 16th 5pm local. No preorders although you can order early that day for delivery the following week.
I've been saying that for weeks now. It's the same schedule as last year.
I'll be standing in line, this time I'm bringing a chair.
 
My guess:

Invites February 29th
Event March 7th
Release 5pm March 16th with these models:

$399 iPad 2 16GB
$499 iPad 3 16GB
$599 iPad 3 32 GB
$699 iPad 3 64 GB
Along with the +$130 for 4G models (but not for the iPad 2).
 
March 16. Recent history of iOS devices shows Apple announcing on a Tues or Wed. and releasing it the following Friday. :apple:
