Look to the iPhone

A rule of thumbs with Apple: To see what´s up next with the mac, look to the latest updates on iPhone, iPad.

Iphone 4 was just revealed, so you can expect:
- a thinner mac
- a much improved display
- better battery life (especially if they drop the optical drive)

besides this, the normal upgrades:
- slightly better processor
- slightly better this and that

i dont think you will see new MBP for another year. I wonder if they will get ips displays?

1) hopefully start using IPS displays instead of these damn TN things

2) high resolution screens on the 13" along with a matte option; 1280x800 is annoying

3) remove the optical drive; with the space saved by removing the optical drive they could do amazing things
