Okay, so I turned on Speech recognition the other day, and I actually thought it was kinda cool, so I wanted to customize some of the settings. Well, I accidentally turned it off, and when I turned it on, it doesn't turn back on. I did the reboot several times and even trashed the file that Help told me to.

Any ideas in what to do? I searched through google and found nothing.

I'm on a 10.4.9 MacBook C2D, btw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, which file did you delete? Sometimes a good way of troubleshooting a problem like this is to create a new user account in System Preferences and see if the problem carries over to that account. If it doesn't, then you can almost be certain that the problem lies within your original Home folder. 🙂
