I know OS X 10.4 comes with speech recognition for apps like mail, safari, and in general, but it doesn't come with speech to text capabilites.

are there any good speech to text apps? preferably some that are cheap

will we see speech to text capability in 10.5 Leopard?

Poked around and came up with two:

IBM ViaVoice (which seems wicked expensive at $125).

And iListen (who would really like you to check them out at MacWorld but is even more expensive at $180).

Didn't find any shareware, unfortunately.

See what comes out of MacWorld -- maybe lower prices, at least.
