YouTube user Eurosausage posts a comparison video highlighting how much faster the iPhone 4S is than the iPhone 4 at launching apps.

While app launching is a basic task that doesn't show off high-performance graphics and other capabilities, it is one of the most common tasks initiated by users that forces users to wait for the system. The video offers comparison of a significant number of apps, giving a good picture of the everyday performance improvements users can expect in upgrading from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4S.

Only a slight speed increase between opening those apps.

The real difference will be when devs write apps specifically for the iPhone 4S to make use of the better hardware.

It won't change your experience from a 4, but it is a noticeable improvement.

Woah. What got me was the Angry Birds difference!! I thought the IP4 was FAST at loading that but this is just on another level! haha.

Glad I didn't buy one. LTE and bigger screen will be a solid win for me. See ya next year!

AMEN!

Not that the 4s is a bad phone, but I really want LTE and a new design as soon as I can get it, and I don't want to be locked in a 2-year contract when that new phone comes out.

While this may not be a significant difference for some people, this very well could be for others. For me, this is a very significant difference because of the overall amount of time it will save to get in and out of the phone. When I want to take a note or look something up, I want it to be lightning fast. And after watching this video, I'll now start to notice the speed difference between the 4 and 4S.

At least when the web pages refresh from only have 512 mb of ram it's gonna be a lot faster :) good enough for me. lol

I typed this e-mail using all of the fractional seconds I saved on my new 4S this morning. :)
