sorry to bump an old thread, but I just installed Speed Intensifier and am pretty amazed at the uptick in speed. The entire phone seems faster.

Wondering if any longtime users of S I and if any long term issues with stability.

Two "Speed Intensifier" apps

...I have read several places that it does more than FakeClockUp.

The "Speed Intensifier" app does not purport to do anything beyond what FakeClockUp does; the animations are sped up, but the speed at which the system runs and apps load is unchanged.

The "Speed Intensifier Add-On" app (which is activated through / requires Winterboard) does purportedly increase the app loading speed by removing the downclock Apple puts in place. The add-on is substantively different than FakeClockUp. The potential sacrifice for the increased speed, however, is decreased battery life in the short term and a shortened expected lifespan for the device.

That is, at least, my understanding.

It doesn't remove the downclock or alter the CPU speed. All it does is edit the power management settings to remove the CPU low power mode. In effect, it makes the CPU high at full power all the time and prevents it from sleeping when the screen is off.
