I've just recently decided to buy a touch and was wondering after today's announcement would there be a difference in speed between the two versions? Would one be faster than the other? I've looked at the specs but they don't address the processor speed. Maybe this question makes no sense, I don't know.

Thanks

You can return your iPod right now and get the new upgraded version for no cost. You are revision protected. So you can go and bring your current iPod back and get the brand new equivalent and any additional money they might owe you!

processor will be the same, as with the 3g iphone, I believe its still pretty much the best option for the devises
