Apps Speedometer that doesn’t use the phone’s gps

I would like an app to measure my speed while on my waverunner( the speedometer on it is currently broken) that will only use the watch gps and not the phone’s to save the battery in the phone.

I have a speedometer app now and when I open it on my watch, the phone status bar turns blue and tells me it’s using the gps(ios11). If I walk around and leave my phone at my desk, it doesn’t register movement.

You can use the workout app. Just set it to an "Outdoor Bicycle", and it will show the live updated current speed. I'm pretty sure that app can use the GPS in the Series 2 Watch, when the phone is not present.
