I ran a speedtest for the SSD on the iPad Pro 2020 12.9": I got 8476/310 read/write using the "Performancetest Mobile" App. Has anyone compared these speeds to the 2018 model to see if the SSD was updated?

I have a T7 with fingerprint scanner on its way! Figured it would be cool to pair a hardware-secured SSD with the iPP since iOS doesn’t support encrypted drives at the moment.

Interested to see if anyone else is able to test/compare 2018 to the 2020

That 8000 is unrealistically high likely due to RAM caching of a very small data set.

This should give more accurate results:

There’s only 1 rating on that app. Do you know of another one with more ratings? If I’m going to buy an app, I’d like it have 1000’s of ratings

The app does exactly what it says on the tin. ?‍♀️

Only other disk benchmark app I found has 0 reviews and that works fine, too. I prefer Jazz Disk Bench though since it's the only iOS benchmark I know of that tests random 4K read/write. For $0.99, I'm not gonna sweat the lack of reviews. ?

@rui no onna Thanks for the feedback... I thought so! I'm trying to figure our the speeds of various cards & readers connected thought USB-C to my iPad Pro 2020 & can't seem to find any apps that allow me to accurately test Read / Write speeds besides holding a timer and manually copying files! You'd think by now someone would have figured out a way to create an app for that ! Lol!
