Spell Check Language

I have managed to change the language on the spell check used for the whole computer (i.e. in safari and mail) to french and have no idea how to change it back!! Any help would be gratefully appreciated

this is what you do!

go to edit (when you are typing something) then go to spelling and grammar then to show spelling and grammar (or just click shift-command- : ) then from the drop down menu, you are going to see lots of different languages you can choose from, find english and there you go!!
