I've been using the Spigen Neo Hybrid on my iPhone 8 and have been very happy with it. I'm now looking at the Spigen options for iPhone 12 Pro and wanted some advice on three of their models: the Neo Hybrid, Liquid Air, and Thin Fit. I'm looking for something light weight that doesn't add too much bulk, with good drop protection (about 3-4 feet since I drop it from a standing position), a lip over the screen and camera (my phone sometimes falls it on it's face so I want that protection), and compatible with a screen protector. The Neo Hybrid sometimes slips out of my hand which might be because of the slippery bumper and round edges of the case, so would either of the other two cases have more grip, or does the iPhone 12 Neo Hybrid have more grip than the iPhone 8 version?

It looks like the Neo Hybrid is the most protective, with the Thin Fit being the least protective. All 3 of them seem to have a lip on the front and the camera. The Liquid Air and Thin Fit are one piece but other than slight differences in their thickness and different textures, I can't tell much of a difference. My current Neo Hybrid is not too bulky for me, so I would not have a problem buying it again but wonder if the thinner models would also offer good protection. Can someone who's used more than one of these cases share their experiences, and would any of these 3 fit my needs?

I have the Liquid Crystal case and hated it at first. It’s too thick for me but I have adjusted to it. The buttons are not hard to press neither and I feel like if I drop my phone it will be protected. There is a lip around the camera lens and on the front of the case which hasn’t bothered me.

Is the Liquid Crystal the same as the Liquid Air, just in clear?

You could say that. Personally for day to day use I prefer Liquid Air. I have been using Liquid Air since iPhone 7. It offers good protection. Dropped few times from on concrete and worst what happens is some scuffs on sides. For me it is also more comfortable to hold when compared to Liquid Crystal. Liquid crystal also smudges a lot, so it will look bad on darker phones. I use Liquid Crystal for when riding on my bike. I have attached blender adapter to it so it can snap to blender attachment on my Trek FX5. Between those 2, I would recommend is Spigen Liquid Air. If you want similar case to Liquid Air, Best Buy and Walmart sells Spigen Core Armor. It's not available at Spigen. Only difference is pattern and texture on the case. Otherwise Core Armor is the same case as Liquid Air.

Ultra Hybrid with black bumper in my opinion: the back is polycarbonate and doesn’t will yellow, the grip of the bumper is good and you can always see the back of your phone. For each of my iPhone since 6, I alternate it with red product silicone and leather apple case :)

I have the Liquid Crystal case and at first to me it was bulky to use coming from a Totallee case, but after using it for a week on my 12 Pro Max, it don’t feel bulky anymore. In my opinion, it smudges the same as any other clear case. Overall I love the Liquid Crustal. I plan to try out the Liquid Air at some point. By

I have the Liquid Crystal on my 12PM. It is not bulky at all. Offers good protection. Go with Thin Fit if you want a bare case type of feel.

Do you know if the Thin Fit offers any sort of drop protection or a lip that will offer protection with a screen protector in place?

Spigen Thin Fit has been completely redesigned this year. They fused together a TPU front with polycarbonate back. The sides of the case are pretty rigid so less dust will make it's way through. The back of the case is a mixed bag. It has a rubberized coating is that improves the handling of the case, but it also a finger print/oil magnet. It reminds me of the finish on the iPad Smart Keyboard cases. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Doubt Thin Fit will offer drop protection. It offers a raised lip on the front. I also bought a Casekoo Slim Fit. Same as Spigen Thin Fit.
