Thinking about getting a spigen thin case to cover the bezel of my new Apple watch ss. Before I order I wanted to know your thoughts as to if this thin snap on case (thigh only covers the bezel) would be a good idea or would it ruin the look of the watch? Just nervous about bumping it.

Personally, I think the cases make the watch look tacky and ruin the appeal of it. I'll take my chances going naked with a screen protector.

I don't know if hard plastic cases would scratch if you get sand in it. I'm going naked day to day but going to use the tough armor for hiking, mountain biking, etc.

I just ordered for my 42mm Space Gray Black Sport Band. If/when I ever receive the Classic Buckle for dressier occasions, I plan on removing the Spigen case, but it think it blends well with the Sport band.

I'm not planning to get a case for my watch but I have used Spigen cases on my iPhones. I remove the case from time to time to clean off dust and such from the various openings and the phone itself still looks basically new.

If you are considering a case, Spigen makes quality stuff.

I don't think they are hideous at all but I don't think they are good looking either.

I have one for the times I go hiking or if I go to disney. Somewhere with the kids all day and I am going to be very active.

Since the day I got it, the (naked) watch hasn't left my wrist.

There is no rubber interior to this case and those plastic grips may mark the metal

My thing is... Naked most of the time when I'm at work, going out, parties, etc... Other times I'm putting a rugged case on it... when I'm hiking, doing outdoorsy stuff, etc., especially for the SS version.

I have the BSB so I think it works.

When I get other bands that are more fancy, same thing applies. Naked since I'll be using those bands for non sporty stuff.

Go for it and see how it holds up. I used to use cases on my iPhone's but after a while I just felt it wasn't necessary. Maybe that will be the case:cool: with the watch too. I went with a screen protector to try it out after reading the few stories on the forums.

I bought the thin case and a tough armor, but I have to admit... now that I have the watch in hand, I can't see myself putting the cases on. I guess I'll keep them for special situations, when I am doing stuff that is more likely to cause issues.

Receive the thin case yesterday, noticeably increases the profile:

For me, though, it's worth it, as it covers up the small dings and scratch I've already managed to incur:

SS BSB here, naked for me. If I had the sport I might consider a screen protector but that would be it. I've been wearing watches with a sapphire crystal for quite a while in jobs that range from office work to construction (when I was in college) and they haven't scratched. I wouldn't wear a case of any sort on them so why would I just because the watch is digital.

I bought the same one for my SG 42mm Sport (hope I get the watch some day). Great pics, thanks. I think I will use it and a screen protector, too many horror stories of people smashing their watches into walls, rather protect my investment.

that actually looks pretty nice! In other pics the case has a plastic look but yours seem to have a matte rubber look. How does it look in person ? any close up pics ? Any pics of the case on the watch from the side/other angles ?

Have you noticed any scratches from putting the case on/taking it off ? Does it seem like it would potentially scratch it from the type of material/sharpness of the portion that clamps on the back ? How tight/good is the fit ?

    Ask and ye shall receive

The finish is a flat grayish black, non-glossy.

It snaps on easily, but it also doesn't take much to take the cover off, but so far it's stayed on securely (digging through pockets, laptop bag, at the gym this morning, etc.).

What I do like about it is that it provides just enough clearance between the top of the case and the screen to add a little more protection when brushing up against a wall or other hard surface.

As for scratching the Watch when putting it on and taking it off, I don't believe that the fit is tight enough to scratch the Watch finish, and there are no sharp edges on the cover.

At $14.99, I may pick up a few more in different colors.

I ended up ordering the Spigen white thin snap-on case as well. Got it yesterday and used it while playing basketball for 3 hours at the gym.

It snaps on and off very easily and i also have a armorsuit screen protector on underneath it. Since the watch replaced my Fitbit, i wanted something i can wear at the gym and during physical activities daily without thinking about it.

Case comes on while at gym and comes off while i am at work. Love it.

Work is where I dinged and scratched mine, on the underside of my desk. It was truly an "Aww, crap" moment, followed by the Nelson Muntz "Haw Haw!!!" from my wife when I told her. She's a cruel, cruel woman.

I think I like it alot, the 42 seems a little small on my big wrist, but this might make it look somewhat bigger, and will be great for the gym.

No not at all, well i have had it for 2 days now.. i just snap it on once i am at the gym and take it off once i am out and leave it in my car. Its snug enough for a good fit, but not too tight where it will scratch the finish.

I have the gold version, it's come off at least 10 times already, thinking of putting a dab of silicone sealer on it to keep it in place.

I don't think I would do the clear because it actually draws more attention to itself. But would probably get the silver/grey for a SS for gym/bball/snowboarding/hiking/mountain biking/etc. But not for daily wear.
