Hi everyone. Like an idiot I spilled milk on the keyboard of my Macbook 2008. Now a few of the keys aren't working, and I've noticed it shuts down more often, whereas before it would stay "awake" more. I tried leaving it up to dry, as well as putting it in rice, to no avail. I'm really mad at myself - but I had already been pondering getting a Macbook Air before this happened, so this might be the right time.

What do you think I should do - get my Macbook repaired or just get a new Air?

    Thank you!

Is this the Aluminum model we're talking about (I know that hardware well - the other 2008 I have no idea of)?
How much milk? Are we talking a few drops, a gulp or half a glass (or more).
Rice may not help with other liquids than water - other liquid contain minerals, which remain even though the water might dry up.

And do not trust it to not get worse. Back up while you can.
