sorry to hear of your accident. i would HIGHLY recommend a moshi clearguard keyboard protector to everyone. i does a super job keeping all kinds of junk off of the keyboard. probably would do a great job protecting from spills also.
the price of $25 seems like alot for a molded piece of silicone, but it is really cheap insurance, and also keeps the keys looking new.

It also doesnt help with the temps and actually wouldn't have helped in this case as the cider went in underneath and he turned his mbp upside down.

Nice plug though.

Once again i am very sorry for any upset and distress caused

Peace and love to all

you have to admit that the comments you made at the time could not have helped me in any way - they were indeed, hindsight.

He did offer useful advice; he advised you that you likely did additional damage. That is very useful. Not only does it let you know additional steps to take, it also informs other readers what not to do in similar situations.

Are you in the US? Filing a claim for a single notebook is not always wise; check your deductible and see if they pay original cost or replacement cost. Also consider the consequences on your premium. Also, your insurer may drop you for small claims if they feel you are not worth the risk.
