Last night I spilt a full glass of proseccco on my Late 2014 15” MacBook Pro. It happened so fast but I’m sure most of it went in the gap where the screen meets the keyboard and some went in keyboard (right hand side) and right speaker. I quickly removed power cable and tipped it up but heard a sound that resembled an egg being fried. I turned the power off and lay it upside down on top of some kitchen towel, it didn’t seem like any liquid was coming out of it and there was a lot on the case it was resting on so I was hoping not much went inside. After a while I turned it over and pressed a few keys to see if they were sticky but I accidentally pressed the power button and it turned on, I then heard the sizzling sound and it turned off.
I have a genius appointment today but was just wondering if the repair is a flat fee (UK) for liquid damage?

I doubt it as far as I can tell apple only off the battery service as a flat fee in the UK, you may well be better off going for a new machine at this point as that does not sound good.

I have accidental damage cover for my contents so I only need to pay £100 excess. I have a genius appt in 3 hours. Was just wondering how much the cost would be

Well it depends what needs replacing but a logic board is about £600.

I think your MacBook Pro is a lightweight.
