here are some pics

Thanks for the pictures. That texture is the prism effect that I was talking about. Seems like it's not so bad. I've already got my PS antiglare film on so I probably won't get one now but it looks like it's a good alternative. :)

I would describe the effect more like a sandpaper texture. How does the ps look.

I also bought the clear screen protector and was shipped the antiglare because of the rainbow effect. The antiglare is great. The customer service was excellent they always responded to my emails within the hour.

Those sand like textures reflect tiny bit of colors so that's why it's called prism effect. Most anti-glare screen protectors have this effect and I can actually see it in the picture you posted. It's kinda hard to measure how much in that picture but PS does have a little bit of that, too, but, it's very minimum and I never notice it unless I think about it. A lot of past reviews and comparisons universally concluded that the (prism) texture is minimum on the PS AG so that's why I went with it. However, I've never seen a direct comparison between the SM and the PS side by side so I'm definitely curious about the difference in both.

Ah I see. I have never used antiglare but judging from the quality of ps clear protectors their antiglare is sure to be better. I can definitely see color specks on mine that changes with the angle. however this is only noticeable on light colored backgrounds.

thanks Sparkhill

Mine is just another opinion, but I tried both of the clear and matte versions of the Splash protectors. If you are looking for something decent at a reasonable price, both are fine options. I did not personally like the matte version though.

I ended up installing the PowerSupport clear. It is better quality and a better fit but cost about $30 for one vs $20 for three. If you are perfectionist, the additional cost of the PowerSupport film is money well spent; if not, the Spash protectors are fine.

I thought the Splash Masque anti-glare was horrible. Glad they do work for some people, but the blurry text and the constant air bubbles drove me nuts. While I took my time, just could not install without some kind of air bubble.

I've spent so much on accessories, I'm a little wary of paying $30 for the Powersupport and/or Moshi's Anti-Glare iVisor, so I'll just wipe down after each use for now.

I don't have a single air bubble in mine. I felt these protectors are extremely easy to install, but i have some experience now The text doesn't seem any blurrier either, but I still prefer clear protectors.
