Is this a PC only game?

Yes it is, I am currently "getting" the game.
By the time I wake up in the morning it should be good to go.
Ill post some benches on it around lunch time tomorrow (Pacific) with how this thing handles.

Yeah I'll probably get it off d2d as well if I ever install Windows.

On 1440x900 res, medium settings with VSYNC and AA Off
the best i could get was 25 - 30 FPS.

Im on a i7 15"

15" 2.4 i5.

Played it on high and medium with AA off not sure what FPS I was getting but the game played fine for me and didn't freeze etc.

Now I'm just confused.
the guy with a faster processor and vram apparently does worse than i5 dude?

ok well I am the middle man with my 2.53 i5, went to bed, modem went haywire for some reason so I am only at 72% downloaded. Ill post full FPS, resolution etc benches in around an hour or two. Good start to a day at work

Alright sorry guys, BootCamp has been so strange on this I don't understand.

I have tried to install 7 twice, both times ending in the blinking cursor or other problems.

I installed XP pro last night went fine until this morning, whole thing locked up, and then super quick BSD and off.

wont boot.

So I just scrapped the whole partition and now have osx only.

Someone else is going to have to do this, I'm pissed. I am going to pester Aspyr to port this game..... seriously.

soo can someone with an i5 tell me what they got on
1440x900
whatever settings made it playable without AA

Not sure what you're expecting. Throwing a mediocre graphics card at a flashy new game (terribly) ported from an XBox and then run through OSX... yeah.

Well. Since the Recommended System Requirements talk about
- a C2D 1.8 GHz
and
- a 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS or ATI Radeon 4670,

I'm expecting to play this game (that is not Crysis!!!!) at max details or at least with AA filter ON (4x) without any problem.
I'm not expecting less from ANY $2000+ 2010's machine. Dreaming?

As always, take the system requirements with a grain of salt; this is a port of an Xbox 360 game you're talking about. Also, Considering the graphics solutions in the MBPs, yeah you're definitely dreaming a bit (especially 4xAA, though the 512MB 330M might pull off 4x AA, but I wouldn't hold my breath). Just because it costs $2000+ doesn't really mean anything.

2xaa is fine , max, ultra, etc is absurd request of of MBP, we would be lucky to play it on high.

on a 15" and 17" screen, AA is negligible, for the most part, I would rather flip a couple more settings up to high than play with AA.

Wow I really hope someone ports this sucker. Are there any major ports on the horizon? (not crack, ciders)

Aspyr has nothing in their upcoming section, i dunno who else there is or what is planned.

Can't get it to run.

Hi! I just got my new MBP and installed Conviction (boot camp).

But everytime I try to start it it says something like: Video card geforce 330m not supported".
I ignored that message, but instantly the game crashes.

It seems like you guys got it to work, is there something I've missed out on?
Like installing some drivers? I don't know.

Thanks!

Anyone?

i forgot to mention that i was using the latest patch which is version 1.02

As compared to version 1 theres no significant increase of performance. But at least the error messages like the card is unsupported is gone
I hope nvidia would release a better driver to help it

In various forums i saw people swearing they passed from 30fps to 50-60fps installing the patch! (With Windows 7 of course...)....
