What are any advantages for members wanting to make the 128SSD separate from the 1TB hard drive? Does it offer advantages for those who have Win 7 under bootcamp?

It simply allows to better control your content's destination. Many people prefer to put the most required stuff to SSD manually, while leaving an HDD for media stuff storage only. Fusion Drive is not that clear for this.

Boot Camp partition can only stay at the HDD part unless you split the Fusion Drive manually. Those who want to enjoy SSD speed on Windows must do so.
