I have installed Windows on external 1 TB Samsung T5 SSD. Is it possible then to split the SSD further so one part will be Bootcamp and one will be used my Mac as external storage?

So since no one replied I decided to try it. In Windows I have split the volume into two 500 GB partitions and then created new NTFS volume. Then in macOS I tried to format that volume as APFS via Disk Utility but it wouldn't let me (some kind of error about not enough space on target volume). So I tried to do it via terminal diskutil and it worked. Now I have 500 GB Bootcamp/Windows part and 500 GB APFS part.

Warning to everyone who will try it: splitting the volume will remove EFI partition/folder; I wasn't able to boot into Windows afterwards. No other files (system/apps/games) were removed though. You need to recreate booting partition by following this article: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/308729/recover-bootcamp-efi-folder-fix-boot-entries

Everything is working fine now.

EDIT: Booting only works via restart and holding option. I am unable to select bootable Win partition in macOS. Although it shows as Boot Camp partition, it states some “bless” error.
