Split one song into many in garage band?

Hey all,

i was wondering if there was a way to take one long song and split it into several songs and put them in itunes with different names. i recorded a few songs in one take and want to split them. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

This would be very easy, assuming the audio is in a format that Garageband can understand. You might try it in Quicktime Pro if you have it also.

i have each song in a different track in garage band, so garage band can recognize the audio. and i could move it all as one song into itunes, but i want to split them.

I have just used Garage Band for the first time and come across the same problem.

I have recorded one side of a cassette tape using the software. I split (Cmd T) the 29 minute 'song' into the 8 or so actual songs on the cassette tape and then selected 'Share', 'Send Song to iTunes'. When iTunes finally opened, all I had was one 29 minute song.

So how do I make it into 8 songs in iTunes?
