Does anyone know, will the 11in behave like the 12.9 or the 10.5 in split screen? As in, can it run two full apps side by side like the 12.9, or only one full, one ‘mobile’ like the 10.5?
What's the difference?
The 12.9 can run two apps side by side in landscape using their full 9.7” iPad UI, while the smaller Pros are forced to use a blown up iPhone UI in the same scenario.
Thanks for posting that. There you go. Unfortunately I see that in 1/2 split view, 11" iPad Pro has Compact width, regular height in landscape mode, which is the same as 10.5" iPad Pro

Do you have a side-by-side screenshot with them in split view with the same apps? There's definitely a change with the size classes on the 11". This video (screenshot attached) shows the 11" with the mail app open on the left, and the message app open on the right. The mail app shows the full mail, as well as the mailboxes on the left. My 10.5" doesn't do this - it just shows the mailboxes as a slideover.

Ok, I watched the video. They don't show a 50/50 split window view. @havenyoung posted a screenshot from the Apple Developer website that clearly states that the 11" iPad Pro behaves exactly as the 10.5" Pro.Here's the video: https://cheddar.com/videos/first-look-at-apples-two-new-ipad-pros
Certainly looks different to my iPad 10.5, and after seeing this I'm glad I went with the 11.
Yes, that's different to my 10.5 too, looks like it can handle the mail app better in a ¾ split; but I'm also hearing no 50:50 split which is the only thing that I miss about the 12in really. There's definitely a change with the size classes on the 11".
