The thing I miss the most from Android is the ability to run 2 different apps at the same time in split screen mode - things like entering a phone number listed on a webpage into the dialer, or copying and pasting between apps were so much more convenient than they are on an iPhone. Thus I'm wondering if there's anything similar in the iPhone world?

I had this on an OPPO and basically never used it. It almost seems like it's not a 'polished enough' idea for Apple to implement on iPhone anyway.

Then Apple should polish it into something on a completely different level than what Android currently has and give us that. After all, Apple is the undisputed #1 leader in polish, so if anyone can do it, it's them.

Apple won’t add this to iphone. They want you to buy an ipad to be able to run split screen. Sad but true

I agree with this. Personally, I wouldn't use the feature. But it's brought up enough on here that I'm sure some would love it. Still, I agree that they're pushing people to the iPad, which can do it no problem.

I think a phone is too small for this, even the Max. It's very easy to swipe right along the bottom to switch between the current and last used app.

Well, is the split screen actually more convenient? For example, copy n paste. For me, by the time I set up the two apps side by side, I would’ve finished the tasked by simply do the copy, switch app, and paste. The same on the iPhone. The split screen mode on smaller screens are not that intuitive. Then there’s UI issues if the app is not coded properly.

If i need to copy multiple values, e.g. from a currency exchange rate table into a travel expense reimbursement app, then it's far more convenient.

It's a productivity scenario that not everybody will use, but the fact that Android leads in productivity is a problem in and of itself...

I used to use it for watching YouTube and using the internet at same time when I had an android phone. Even on the S5 which only had a 5.1 inch display I found it useful.

So... why did you get an iPhone? I mean if Android for you is the best in productivity, then why the switch?

Yesterday there was a free offer to down load "halfes" from the app store. I did and it does work, but I don't know if I will have any use for it on my IP. I also got it on my iPad where it may be more useful.
