I know this is currently iPad Air 2 specific, but do you think in time (especially now 2GB ram has been confirmed) that this feature will come to iPhone 6S Plus?

I could see it coming to the plus line. If they really want to be considered a phablet they need to add some tablet features. Right now it is basically just a big screen with very few apps supporting anything different. Where the note line can increase productivity, there is really nothing the plus line adds to do that. So yes, I could see those features coming over at some point and time. I think it would be a mistake to not.

The most disappointing things about the 6+ is that it never got those unique apps or "Phablet" features.

In the original keynote they showed off how the extra screen space enabled a more detailed portrait view of things like Mail. And the press/podcasters ran with that idea by predicting how we're going to get all these special features. But a year later and the bigger iPhone is nothing more than a bigger iPhone and I doubt that will change with the 2GB 6+S. :(

I doubt it. Almost no developer even bothers to support landscape mode for the 6 Plus so I can't see them supporting split screen multitasking. The screen is kind of small for that anyway.

I don't think they will get split screen, not because it can't handle it, but because of the display height in landscape. You have two apps open, one uses the keyboard, now an app has maybe 25% of the screen to display content. Not a great experience.

Slide over might be interesting, to quickly slide in Notes to paste some text when you are browsing the web, for example. That and picture in picture would be useful.
