swiftaw macrumors 603 Oct 7, 2007 #2 1. Copy the mp3 file 2. Open the copy in Garageband 3. Split the track 4. Delete the part you don't want 5. Share->Send song to iTunes 6. in iTunes, convert song to mp3.

That's why I said copy the original file and work with the copy, so you don't lose anything. Then you can repeat the instructions for each part.
