Just got my new macbook pro 15" (previous version). All looks well, except the battery metal exterior surface looks splotchy. I tried wiping down with slightly damp microfiber cloth, but no luck. I think I read that new batteries ship with an plastic protector on them and I'm wondering if this could be something from the adhesive I'm seeing. (mine came with a battery installed with no adhesive, but maybe it wasn't cleaned off right)
Anyone else ever see this, have a possible cleaning remedy?
