Spoiler free

There is a magic little button at the top right of the (current) ipad. Press it and the screen goes black. This will prevent you finding out about the Apple event

Doesn't seem to be appearing elsewhere (at the moment) I would imagine Apple will update their website etc.

Wish I could be home to watch it on the ol' Apple TV. Oh well hopefully the video goes up quickly. Either way I'm be hangin with you guys today. 😀

imagine how many of us would (i'm in australia) wake up at 3 in the morning, switch on our atv and watch live on the apple launch channel... they do live streaming for others, why not themselves?? i think their data centre could handle it. if not, just turn off the maps server for a couple of hours. noone will notice the difference...

The spoiler-free thread is always the heart of the old school Apple diehards, who love the surprise and first hand impressions that come with seeing the keynote video, without the chatter and opinion that comes with live blogging. I love these threads. Here we hang out as a diversion and take a break from rumors to talk about anything not Apple related. Movies, books, gossip, what have you.

We only ask that those who want to read the live blogs refrain from spoiling the experience for us. Be cool. If you don't like the idea of this thread, just move along and let us have our silly fun.

Edit: oh man, now I have to decide whether to watch the AppleTV live stream. I usually download the podcast so I can be sure the quality is ok. It might be worse to watch a choppy pixelated live stream than to wait for the podcast.

Anyone think iTunes 11 will be available for download soon after the keynote?

I really hope it is, I've never been looking forward to an iTunes version more. Dat new interface, the "play this song after the current one is finished" thing, etc.

It starts at 1:00 PM EST.

So if you're going spoiler-free only because you want to see the keynote, rather than just trickle read the blogs.. Then you now have a choice!

Damn! I saw you originally put 3pm and thought "Yes! I'll be home in time"... But no, it's the same annoying time (6pm UK) when I'm travelling home from work... Bugger. 🙁

Alright, let's kill some time. Two questions:

1. Any way that you guys know of to have playlists sync automatically through iCloud?

2. Any way to sync passwords in my keychain on my Mac to my iPhone?

This should just be put at the beginning of each spoiler free thread. I'm going to start with the :apple:TV and if it's good enough quality stick with that. Hopefully if this goes well all future events will be live and we can stay spoiler free and up to date simultaneously ...

Just wanted to report that I'm watching the live stream via Safari on my Mac and the quality is good so far. Not HD, but OK. I think I'll just watch it until dinner time.

edit: I take that back. It's HD. very nice.

Was gonna say, mine is kind of choppy. Not HD at all.

edit: it's more hd and acceptable now. lol
 
at least you have a feed. I've been trying since 11:55AM CST to get on and haven't got past the "available shortly" screen.
 
I've missed the beginning, so I'll wait for the video to be posted afterwards. If I remember correctly they used to be up really quick if there was a live stream before.
