thank you... received and enjoying it

just wondering if spotify may be irrelevant after the keynote.... i'm hoping for some itunes subscription news in the wake of the lala takeover!!

Yes, I believe so. The Quicktime stream automatacally detects and adjusts available bandwidth. (like Hulu) Plus, Apple's server farms are ultra-heavy-duty :D

You mean it picks between the different bitrate streams when you first start the video? Dosen't that measure your bandwidth? We're talking about Apple's servers being slammed. I agree Apple can handle the load, but QT dosen't detect for that does it?

I like ABC.com and Netflix's adaptive video quality better than hulu. Hulu gives you three options you have to manually switch between. I just have mine set to always be 480p.

Netflix and ABC have real-time adaptive quality. If you have less bandwidth it adjusts the video quality without stopping the video. It's great. And they both can adapt all the way up to HD quality if you can manage it. the HD on ABC.com is better quality than the 720p mkv's you can download.

No Spoils - Guaranteed, Guaranteed

It would be funny if they introduce a new phone (No spoils guys, I don't know anything, just the whole thing with Gizmodo) and Powell makes the maiden call to Jason Chen in the audience. ROFL

Unbelieveable! iPhone 5G/HDMI with a back-facing secondary display! Boy does it look handy! :p

Got to go to sleep, it's past 2am. Hang on tight pals!

Ps. The F.lux app is marvellous! Thank you dearly for the recommendation. For others, it automatically adjusts display's color temperature according to day-/nighttime. Since the manufacturer page has a twitter pane, here's a Spoiler-free direct download link:

OSX:
https://secure.herf.org/flux/Flux.zip
XP/Vista/7:
http://stereopsis.com/flux/flux-setup.exe

I installed that a few hours ago :) Seems nice. Worried about the effect on battery life though: I always keep away from "enhancer" apps. Hate the background processes. OCD.
I took away Jitouch after a few minutes because I couldn't bear the helper process consuming my CPU.

Yep - but giving up in the UK......

Anyone else watching D8, but pausing every minute to check if the keynote is here yet?

1:08 into D8 - what a fantastic interview with Jobs, he must be the most genuine guy in the world, i'm totally in the distortion field.

Doubt WWDC 2010 could top the D8 interview for me. Going to bed, will watch WWDC after iTunes has downloaded it overnight :)

Props to all those burning the midnight candle waiting for the keynote! Hang in there all! Just imagine that Freddy Krueger will get you if you fall asleep :)

going spolier free ain't easy 'down under'. It's nearly 10am here and watching 2 hours during office hours is nearly impossible.

And I woke up, checked my email on my iPhone in bed (as I do every morning) and almost had it ruined for me. Fortunately All I saw was from Apple and "Introducing" before I swiped that thing away from my inbox. What is it with Apple emailing out announcements so soon? With the iPad I'm sure it took a few days before I got anything in my inbox...

Oh and a big thanks to Voidness for his script. Saves me refreshing the quicktime guide every minute:)
