Spongy trackpad on referb Air

Hi guys.

I bought my partner a refurbished MacBook Air. However, the trackpad seems really spongy. Unlike my MacBook Pro, which when pressed it solid and doesn't recess when pressed the Air really creaks and is spongy.

Does anyone else have this and is this normal behaviour for an Air, or should I take it back to Apple?

I also have a MBP and it does not have a spongy trackpad. I'd say its not normal.

I thought as much. I should add that it's only the bottom part of the trackpad that seems spongy. The top is solid.

I will take it back into the Apple store and see what they say.
