Is the fit of the pin connector and band supposed to be tight or is there a little bit of play?

She's suppose to be kinda tight. Really more of a perfect fit I guess.

Ok I'm guessing it's normal to have a little bit of play. It sits and locks fine and there is no movement when worn. I'm sure it's a little diff from device to device
