Simply put, I have clothes items that utilize velcro. (Pocket flaps, etc) The non-hook side wears out with use over time terminating it’s ability to adhere. I would expect that should, or would happen with Sport loop bands.
Do those of you with Sport loops see this happening?
Thanks. S

Nope. It’s not normal Velcro.

They use thicker thread for the hooks to latch onto from what I can tell. Should increase longevity.

I'm curious though, since the loop is a little stretchy does that mean there's rubber strings woven into it (which are typically made out of latex, which ages, dries out and cracks), or is it just a curious function of the weave itself?

I understand now. Thanks.
When I was last in an Apple store I looked at them and they had multiple ‘hook’ pads but I figured they’d still trash the ‘opposing’ material. It must be that face is made of a way more durable material than that of the cheap velcro on khaki shorts. S

The Sport Loop and nylon woven bands are extremely durable, aside from the flueroastamer sport bands. Really impressed with the quality of their bands, considering it’s ‘Velcro’.
