Spotify and bluetooth calls

I have a really irritating issue when using my iPhone in my car.

I use Spotify for all of my music needs, with a handful of audiobooks in the music app.

If I'm listening to music through spotify, and make or receive a call in-car, the iPhone will revert to playing an audiobook from the music app rather than Spotify.

Am I missing a setting to make it play from the previous app?

No, mine worked perfectly, back to Spotify, a few months back ,Dec-Feb time-frame. Pioneer stereo.

I now use strictly iTunes Match. I did trial + couple months. Imported my Pandora playlists. Then realized I could round out my iTunes playlists for about $60 and have music permanently. Way cheaper than $120/yr Spotify with no permanent files.

Hell, I figure if I budget <= 8-10songs a month, which I most likely won't, more like 10-15/yr. I break even at worst or come out way ahead over Spotify.
