Spotify Competes With Apple by Expanding Podcast Subscriptions Program

We had to switch to AM this week because our kids were accessing content we couldn’t control. I don’t like AM, I miss Spotify!!

Have you not tried the Spotify Kids app?

So let the creator build their own platform and distribution.... Spotify is cheap because they are using Apple and Google's distribution platforms.

As podcaster you pay 30% of your profit why sould you pay a sub fee to apple on top of that ???????

I get if you are a new podcaster when you dont earn money sure that you maybe should pay something to apple as a sub fee but not both 100%.

I only listen to podcasts. Actual podcasts that you can subscribe to using a real podcast client.

If it's not available in Overcast (my podcast client of choice) and requires some weird proprietary (and vastly inferior) app to listen to, it doesn't exist to me. There are so many more interesting podcasts than I can physically listen to anyway.
