Idk can't remember? o_O

Which network are you on?

I'm in Manchester and it's pretty good here with EE, not so much with the other networks.
I was with Three, and it was useless everywhere, even in London. I’m now with Vodafone and it is significantly better, but still can’t be relied upon in several places. I know EE is the best, but it is also the most expensive

Yh they are the most expensive. I get a bit of a discount because my gf works for the NHS.

Our coverage really is quite terrible, Three is very patchy near me and O2 is nearly unusable.

Very interested to see if the regulators let the Three/Vodafone merger go through, will basically leave us with a choice of three network providers.

Good to have an offline feature. But what do they mean by no extra space taken!! The cached files do take up space.

I was with O2 before Three, and it was bad that I had to switch. Then Three turned bad years later 😅 However, I heard O2 has improved.

As for the merger, if that means better coverage by using signal sources set up by both companies, I’m fine with it. I don’t have much hope things will improve.

I believe one of the problems is taking out Huawei equipment, which has affected coverage and usage of 5G. All the companies have stayed quiet in what is happening to replace it, yet no reduction in bills for a poorer service. The regulator seem somewhat useless. I went to France and Sweden recently and was really impressed with the quality of service there

Don't most other streaming platforms already have these kinds of "smart download" features?

I remember both Apple Music and YouTube Music having these settings for like a min/max amount of storage you want it to automatically fill with music for offline listening.

Those have to be enabled and setup by the user. But this works more intelligently on its own?

At a glance, this doesn't seem like something new or unique. Maybe for Spotify but not for others.

Because some of us are using offline playlists all the time just like we did with an iPod or a MP3 player.
Some of us still buy CDs and carry a CD player. But do I berate you for not knowing exactly what album you want to hear when you step into the train?

Or just continue what you did when you had an iPod or MP3-player. You only use offline playlists.
I never stream music directly from my phone. In fact, Apple Music is set up to not use mobile connections.
Apple Music is not set up like that at all. The case is non-existent and there is no "download all" button.

I wish it was only network services that I am impressed with when I cross the Channel.
