Just bring back the "New Album" function. I could see what is new in the area of music I like. I don't want to sort through tons of irrelevant stuff. Current UI is horrible...

Perfectly happy with Apple Music, for me it’s better. But....if Spotify creates a filter to never ever ever play rap, country, or the evil hybrid “crap”. I’d be all in

Hide artist would be nice too. There is too much garbage music in some otherwise good playlists.

you can, it's hidden. go to the song overview of your playlist --> tap menu (3 dots) next to the song/band you don't want to hear --> select view artist --> menu top right (3 dots) --> select don't play this

That doesn't sound right to me. Why would people use software that forces you to listen to music you don't like??!

I HATE rap, hip/hop and cannot find a way to ignore it - even for my daughter! She shouldn't listen to the crappy lyrics of that categories!

That's stupid... So I have to ignore the whole time instead of listening to music. I don't want any music from some kind of categories.
Not possible with spotify. And much worse... Even in pop/rock playlists you can find crappy rap/hip-hop music

Have you selected the high quality setting available to premium users?
i can’t say I have noticed any problem in the sound quality. (I am a musician)

Yes, I have tried the high quality setting. Spotify still sounds flat in A-B comparisons with CDs of the same recording and with TIDAL's HiFi quality level.
