spotify playlists - apple music 5 seconds - how does it work?

i have a number of spotify playlists i want to bring over to apple music i have tried applefi but i am only getting 5 second demos and i have followed the instructions
is there a way to get this work? alternatively is it like spotify as i keep ending up in the store to buy singles.... i want to basically replicate spotify as much as possible... with a series of playlists available on desktop and mobile (same playlists)

can anyone advise?
