Apple Music doesn't charge anything for music videos? It's weird because music videos are a feature every music service should have other than the music part. Seems like Spotify is more worried about trying to charge or upsell the premium subscriptions so when they raise the price soon, it feels more worth it, just like the several year delay to deliver high quality streaming.

Try watching them without a paid subscription..

Maybe I’m a bit too old for this but we have youtube for that dont we?

I really cant see the benefit.
Not having to switch apps. Avoid searching for artists and songs on YouTube. I really liked that YouTube Music offered videos in the app, but I never wanted to switch from Spotify. Hopefully, Spotify did a good job integrating them.

I often watch music videos on the Apple TV through Apple Music unless it’s unavailable before YouTube. The picture and sound quality is often better especially for older videos

Why is that weird? There is a cost to storing all that video in the cloud.

Apple Music charges for everything and they even nuke all of your playlists if you unsub
Erm… at least where I live I don’t have to pay extra for lossless/videos/etc.

And playlists: that’s nothing to do with videos 🤪

You're going to try to justify using Spotify and criticize Apple for charging a small fee, when Apple pays the artists almost twice what Spotify pays? From the search bot - "Apple Music generally pays artists a higher per-stream rate, averaging around $0.01, compared to Spotify's rate of approximately $0.003 to $0.005." That's 95% more in case you were wondering.

And guess what - Apple Music is cheaper than Spotify's premium tier (and gets even cheaper in an Apple One bundle), sounds better, and has had video from the get go. And those "features" aren't parsed out only to those willing to pay more. And btw, unless you're paying for Spotify premium you're sitting through ads, and the fact none of that ad money is going to the artists is even worse. There are no ads on Apple Music.

I'll never be a Spotify chump.

Yeah, this is a ridiculous oversimplification of how streaming royalties are paid, but even if it were true, it really isn’t the flex you think it is. Apple is currently worth about twenty six times what Spotify is, and their business is heavily reliant on literal slavery and abhorrent working conditions

I see... when you've got nothing else, change the subject and deflect... nice try.

Good to know. Don't use the service but expecting a worldwide rollout soon. Hopefully there won't be any price hike due to this. Happy with my Apple Music subscription
