Anyone use spotlight search often? What do you use it for? I never used the universal search on iPhones or droids. Never understood using search to find an app.

If I'm looking for an email, a song, or a contact why should I bother going into the app (like, opening 'Mail') and finding the place to search within that app (not always on the current screen you're on) and then searching, rather than just doing it from the home screen?

I use it more and more these days. Usually it's to find a contact, an appt or email info.

Here is Apple's info on spotlight search.

When you've got many apps, this is a very useful way to find it quickly. Even more useful is the following: finding a song. This is especially true if you have a big music library.
    I use it quite often.

I only use it to find songs or e-mails.
